Kamala Harris leaves people baffled by bizarre eight-word statement that 'means nothing'

The vice-president is being supported by President Joe Biden to become his Democratic successor.

Vice President Kamala Harris has had yet another viral moment after someone clipped together a popular quote from her campaign speeches - but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The internet has been left baffled by what “What can be, unburdened by what has been" means, a phrase repeated in Harris' speeches.

It's unclear what the statement means - it seems as though she is saying there is hope for the future, if the past is left behind. Interpretations of her speech have been varied, with social media users questioning the cryptic message.

Many have raised the question: "What does this even mean?" on X, formerly Twitter, with another saying: "I can't watch it anymore!"

Another said: "This makes no sense."

All eyes are on Kamala right now following last night's news that President Joe Biden will be stepping out of this presidential election race. Biden, at 81 years old, is America's oldest president, and was the oldest to take office three years ago, at 78.

Biden announced that he is endorsing vice-president Kamala Harris to be his successor for the Democratic presidential nomination just minutes after dropping out of the race. In his statement on X, the president said "Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year."

Harris broke her silence on Biden's public statement yesterday, and vowed to beat former president Donald Trump in the next election. The Vice-President wrote on X: "On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country.

"I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.

"I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party - and unite our nation - to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda. If you’re with me, add a donation right now."

The Democrat party have publicly backed Harris as the next presidential candidate. However, Donald Trump, 78, told CNN he believes she will be easier to beat.

Trump made international headlines last week following a failed assasination attempt at a campaign rally. Thomas Crooks,20, went online to "scope out" a number of potential high-profile assassination targets, before shooting at the former US president.

Crooks, who was a former member of the Republican Party, also had images of President Biden on his phone, as well as the dates of both rallies and the Democratic National Convention, according to investigators.

The 20-year-old worked in a nursing home, and allegedly asked his employer to take the day off on the day of the shooting, saying her would be back the next day.
