A judge was left dumbfounded when a man turned up to a court case about his suspended licence via Zoom while driving his car.

The baffling moment in a US courtroom led to suspended driver Corey Harris having his bond revoked and being ordered to turn himself into jail that evening.

As Harris, 44, appeared on screen for the start of the hearing in Michigan behind the wheel, Judge J. Cedric Simpson asked: "Are you driving?"

Harris responded by telling the court "I'm pulling into my doctor's office, actually."

This was followed by Judge Simpson saying:"Wait. What are we doing?"

Harris's public defender then requested an adjournment in the case.

Judge Simpson tried to process what was happening during the hearing in Ann Arbor on May 15. He continued: "So maybe I don’t understand something.

"This is a driving with a suspended licence [case].

"And he was just driving? And he didn’t have a licence."

But Harris - who wore sunglasses and barely spoke after parking up - was ordered to attend Washtenaw County jail by 6.30pm that evening.

Responding, the defendant said: "Oh my god."
