Gwyneth Paltrow was asked about her outfit and her height by the prosecutor in a couple of many "awkward" moments during his ski crash trial.
Gwyneth Paltrow sent warning by Johnny Depp's attorney
Gwyneth Paltrow’s ski crash trial has left viewers baffled as the plaintiff's lawyer kept making "awkward" comments to the Hollywood star. The Shakespeare in Love actress and founder of Goop is on trial over claims she injured retired optometrist Terry Sanderson in a "hit-and-run" ski slope crash. But Sanderson’s attorney Kristin Vanorman appeared to gush over Paltrow as she took the stand last week.
In once clip, the prosecutor asked Paltrow: "You were wearing goggles, a helmet? Kind of looked like everybody else on the slope?"
"That's always my intention," Paltrow replied.
"Probably had a better ski outfit though I bet," Vanorman said, smiling and pointing at Paltrow.
"I still have the same one," Paltrow replied, laughing.
A later clip shows Vanorman telling Paltrow how jealous she is that Paltrow is 5 feet 10 inches tall, but they both agree that they're now shrinking.
Lorraine Kelly mocks Gwyneth Paltrow as she wonders if ski trial is 'an early April Fool'
ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly, 63, has questioned whether Gwyneth Paltrow’s trial over a 2016 ski accident is “an early April Fool”. Lorraine took to Twitter this morning after catching up on the Sliding Doors actress’ testimony in court, in which she insisted she cannot be "at fault" for injuries sustained by Terry Sanderson, who is suing her over the crash at the Deer Valley resort in the US.
Twitter users were left baffled by the friendly cross-examination, with some joking that Vanorman was flirting with Paltrow.
Neil Cain said: “This examination felt more like watching a first date… and an awkward one at that.”
Mohamad El Chamaa added: “I would not hire her as my lawyer”.
And another Twitter user asked: “Why are they flirting?"

Even TV’s Lorraine Kelly was left shocked at the trial footage, taking to social media to ask “is it an early April Fool? coz this is some super parody shenanigans”.
The trial took place at the Third Judicial District Court in Park City, Utah on Friday, and centres on Sanderson’s claims Paltrow skied into the back of him.
The Oscar-winning actress countersued and claimed Sanderson, 76, actually skied into the back of her while at the Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah on February 26, 2016.

While Sanderson initially launched a legal action against Paltrow for $3.1 million, he was forced to reduce the claim to $300,000.
He says he was left with "permanent traumatic brain injury, four broken ribs, pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, emotional distress and disfigurement," after a "full body hit" by Paltrow.
She launched a counter-suit in 2019 for just $1 plus her legal fees.
The trial, which started on Tuesday 21 March, will last a total of eight days, the length agreed by judge Kent Holmberg and both sides' attorneys.
