Manchester Airport EVACUATED: Passengers ordered out of Terminal 1 - flight disruption
MANCHESTER Airport Terminal 1 was evacuated after an issue with one of its retail units.

A false alarm was raised causing passengers to be ordered to leave.
A spokesman for the Manchester Airport could not specify what the issue was that raised the alarm.
He did confirm that no flights were disrupted, delayed or cancelled this morning.
Twitter user @SpiritAndWood said there was a lot of confusion about what was happening.

He said: "T1 evacuated, no staff around, lots of confused people stuck on side corridors - tannoy announcing final calls for flights is adding to the issue, zero communication re: incident."
He said he believes it was a false fire alarm, but that he only heard it from customers not staff.
Manchester Airport apologised during the incident and assured passengers they were trying to get people back in as soon as possible.
Last week, a man was rushed to the hopsital after an altercation in the car park at Terminal 2 where he later died of a suspected heart attack.
Popular cabbie William Brent Taylor, 57, was rushed to the hospital after police were called to reports of an assault in a Manchester Airport car park near Terminal 2 at around 8.25am.
