Teenage Egyptian student dies after 'racist' gang attack at Nottingham bus stop
AN 18-year-old Egyptian student has died three weeks after a suspected racist attack. Mariam Moustafa was jumped on by a 10-strong group of female yobs while waiting for a bus on February 20.

The engineering student had been shopping before she was brutally beaten by the women in Nottingham.
Mariam was placed in an induced coma after the attack and sent home after three days but her condition suddenly deteriorated and she died on Wednesday.
She is understood to have suffered a bleed on the brain as well as a stroke.
The teenager’s family believe the attack was racially-motivated.

Mariam was abused by some of the same women before
Four months ago, two of the same 10 women abused my daughter in the street with no specific reason. We went to the police and issued an official complaint; however, nothing happened.
Mariam’s mother Nessrin Shehata posted a video on social media and said: “Four months ago, two of the same 10 women abused my daughter in the street with no specific reason.
“We went to the police and issued an official complaint; however, nothing happened.”
A 17-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm was subsequently released on conditional bail.
Nottinghamshire Police are continuing their inquiries and seeking witnesses saying a number of people were at the bus stop
