Inspector Paul Nightingale harassed Lisa Myers for over 12 months
Married Nightingale touched her bottom and breasts, kissed her and demanded massages and “alone time”, a tribunal in Liverpool heard.
Judge Tobias Ryan threw out the father-of-two’s claim they were in an affair saying he “knew full well he was taking advantage”.
Nightingale, who was also accused of drunkenly target- ing five women at a staff party, has been added to a register of people ineligible to work for the police and is now manager of a DIY shop.
British Transport Police are to award Mrs Myers £50,000 for discrimination and victimisation
Mrs Myers, a mum-of-two who now volunteers at a rape crisis centre, said: “I hope this will give heart to other women who suffer sexual harassment.”
"We hope that this award will act as a deterrent to men sexually harassing women and encourage other women who are being harassed to come forward and obtain justice."
