New Year’s Honours list 2018: England's women cricketers honoured
ENGLAND’S women cricketers were honoured for their sensational triumph in the sport’s World Cup competition last summer.

Team captain Heather Knight was given an OBE for leading the side to victory over India in front of a packed Lords last July.
Player of the tournament Tammy Beaumont, 26, and player of the final Anya Shrubsole, 26, received MBEs.
The tournament was watched by more than 50 million people worldwide live and on television and the final gate was a 26,500 sell-out.
Knight said afterwards: ”This is a watershed moment, to be playing at Lord’s in front of a sell-out crowd in a World Cup final.”
Coach Mark Robinson, who also received an OBE, said: “It has captured the imagination of everybody as the tournament has gone on.”
