Raging LBC caller says Sadiq Khan wants to DESTORY Trump relationship to THWART Brexit
A LIVID LBC caller told Nigel Farage that Sadiq Khan is attempting to use the Donald Trump Twitter scandal to damage Britain’s relationship with America and thwart Brexit.
Radio caller: Remainers want to DAMAGE our relationship with US
The LBC caller said Remainers are “saboteurs” and people are “fed up” with hearing Remainers attempting to speak for all British people.
LBC caller Lorraine, from Chelmsford, said Britain has not damaged its relationship with America following Donald Trump’s retweeting of three videos from far-right group Britain First.
Politicians such as Labour’s Chuka Umunna have demanded a ban on Donald Trump visiting the UK following his Twitter activity.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan also said Trump would not be welcomed in the UK and said the tweets were a “betrayal of the special relationship” between Britain and America.
The LBC caller said Remainers want to thwart Brexit with Trump criticism
They want to overturn the referendum so that we have to stay in the EU
Prime Minister Theresa May said Donald Trump was “wrong” to retweet the extreme-right group's social media content.
But Mr Trump hit back and tweeted Theresa May. He wrote: "Don’t focus on me, focus on the destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism that is taking place within the United Kingdom. We are doing just fine!"
The LBC caller said America is Britain’s “greatest ally”. She said: “It’s not the Germans or the French, it is America. They have been and they always will be.
“But what I would like to say is I’m getting fed up with these commentators and politicians like Sadiq Khan and Chuka Umunna coming out and saying that they speak on behalf of all of us British.
May: Trump retweeting Britain First was WRONG
“They certainly do not speak on behalf of us all."
Lorraine said she gets the impression Remainers want to “damage” Britain’s relationship with America so that it does not get a trade deal with them after Brexit.
She said: “They would see our country not get a trade deal because they want to overturn the referendum so that we have to stay in the EU.
“These are the people that would see our country demolished to nothing more than the region of a Franco-German empire. That’s how I see it, Nigel.”
Mr Farage supported the statement and said: “The British ambassador Kim Darroch, he did speak for you, Lorraine. He said that people in the UK overwhelmingly reject this rhetoric.”
