M6 Southbound hit with two hour delays after four vehicle crash near Cannock
AN ACCIDENT involving three lorries and an overturned car on the M6 southbound has caused travel chaos this morning near Cannock.
A road traffic accident has led to two hour delays on the M6 motorway near Cannock
Two lanes of the M6 are currently blocked southbound between junction 10 for the Black Country and junction nine for Wednesbury after this morning's accident.
There was widespread delays on Junction 10 on the A454 /B4464 heading towards Wolverhampton and Walsall.
There was also congestion back to Junction 11 on the A460/A462 to Cannock.
Delays were expected to last at least two hours.
The accident happened at around 6.18am on Tuesday morning.

Eyewitnessses said that a car on top of one of the lorries - a car transporter - was ejected, landing on its roof, according to The Express and Star.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said that no one has been injured.
Two crews from West Midlands Fire service have arrived on scene to assess the accident.
Traffic was backed up on Junction 11 to Cannock at 8.20am this morning after the accident
Highways England is now working with Central Motorway Police Group to remove vehicles from the motorway.
At least two lanes were closed and traffic was at a standstill due to the road traffic accident on the M6.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire service said: "We had the call at 6.18am to the M6 southbound between junctions 10 and nine.
"The incident involved three large goods vehicles in collision and a car had been ejected from the top of a car transporter and landed on its roof. No one was trapped.
"We helped to right the car and make the area safe, with the last crew leaving at 7.22am."

Long delays are expected on the M6 after the accident that involved three lorries and a car
Following the accident, three lanes were closed at first, but Highways England was able to open up a second lane at 8am this morning.
However, firemen are being delayed because the steering wheel on one of the lorries is broken and cannot be moved.
