Rush hour chaos as landslide on train track causes major delays
RAIL passengers could be left stranded after a landslide blocked major train routes between Rugby and Northampton.
Some major routes have been affected - but delays are not expected to last long
The landslide has forced delays and cancellations to some train services with disruption expected to continue this afternoon.
According to the London Midland website, some northbound services from London Euston are terminating at Northampton while some southbound services from Birmingham New Street are terminating at Rugby.
One passenger had a nightmare after she had to change trains
CrossCountry Train, Virgin Trains, London Midland and Chiltern Railways services have all been affected.
Some tickets for affected routes are being accepted by other rail networks.
Replacement road transport has been ordered to run between Rugby and Northampton.
Compensation is being offered by London Midland to some passengers.
