Couple in dispute with neighbour claim he dumped LORRY TRAILER outside their home
A COUPLE locked in a dispute with a neighbour over a garden wall claim he drove a tractor like telehandler towards them before dumping a lorry trailer outside their home.
Sophia and Gwyn Hughes and lorry trailer
Sophia Hughes and husband Gwyn, from Anglesey, North Wales, say the huge trailer blocks out sunlight and obscures the view from their kitchen window.
The trailer was placed at the edge of the land owned by neighbours Mark and Sioned Jones
Relations between the couple and Mr Jones were fine but the neighbours fell out. Mrs Jones allowed the Hughes to demolish part of a wall on their boundary, owned by her, to facilitate their building works.
However, the Hughes demolished the entire wall, leaving only the two ends, and then contested ownership once it was rebuilt.

Mark drove right towards me, putting the fork under me and lifting me and the wall
The dispute escalated earlier this month when Mrs Hughes found Mr Jones and one of his employees allegedly dumping the lorry trailer on the boundary of his land.
She told The Daily Post: “My children couldn’t sleep that night.”
“I paid almost £2,000 for the materials and labour and was not ready to throw that away, so I stood on the wall.

“Mark drove right towards the wall.”
A statement from Mr Jones said the trailer was an “agricultural storage container” and claimed the couple’s view of it would have been reduced had they not taken down trees that belonged to his family.
Mrs Hughes categorically denied the felled trees belonged to the Mr Jones.

The couple said they have since been told the Mr Jones would consider removing the lorry trailer if they reimburse the cost of their legal fees and offer an apology.
Mrs Hughes said: “I can’t afford to pay for their fees and I am not going to apologise.”
Correction
This article has been amended. It previously stated that there was a boundary dispute between neighbours that started over the Hughes’ request to rebuild a wall on the edge of their land. It also stated that Mr Jones has tried to claim full ownership of the wall once it was rebuilt. In fact the wall had always belonged to Mrs Jones. Mrs Jones gave permission to the Hughes to demolish part of the wall to facilitate their building work, but the Hughes demolished the whole wall and then contested ownership of it once it was rebuilt. The article also repeated claims by Mrs Hughes that Mr Jones drove at her in a tractor which Mr Jones denies.
