Major disruption as firefighters tackle huge blaze at Kings Cross
ROADS were closed in both directions today near Pentonville Road in Central London as firefighters tackled a major blaze at a building at Kings Cross.
Fire crews respond to basement fire in King's Cross
At least four fire engines attended the scene, as bus routes in the area were placed on diversion.
The blaze is believed to have originated in the basement of a six-storey disused office block.
The latest fire comes just hours after a restaurant blaze near Marble Arch.
London has had a number of major fires reported in the weeks following the Grenfell Tower blaze.

A spokesman for London Fire Brigade said emergency services were called at 2.27pm, with the blaze contained by 2.59pm.
A small amount of damage has been reported to the basement of the building.
London Fire Brigade confirmed there were no injuries or casualties, adding that two people inside the building had left the scene before emergency services arrived.
