'Corbyn will let them tickle his tummy' Radio caller rages at Labour on EU trade deal
JEREMY CORBYN was branded “utterly incompetent” by a radio caller fearful of the prospect the Labour Party leader could be heading to Brussels to negotiate Britain’s Brexit deal.
5 Live caller SLAMS Corbyn as too soft to negotiate Brexit
The BBC Radio 5Live caller slammed the veteran left-winger, claiming he couldn’t run a “booze up in a brewery” let alone handle the UK’s divorce from the European Union.
UK voters are being left worried after pollsters predicted a hung parliament, which would allow Mr Corbyn and his colleagues to attempt to form a government.
YouGov’s latest poll claims Theresa May’s Conservative could fall 16 seats short of being able to form a parliamentary majority after the June 8 election.
Discussing the election, host Nicky Campbell asked Your Call listeners their opinion on the Labour Party leader.
Jeremy Corbyn's ability to negotiate Brexit has been questioned
Jeremy Corbyn is utterly incompetent and you couldn’t trust him to run a booze up in a brewery
Andrew, from Ipswich, was fearful of the prospect of Mr Corbyn in charge of this country’s “biggest political event in our history”.
He said: “Corbyn is a really nice bloke and make a really nice grandad, I’m sure, but the man is utterly incompetent and you couldn’t trust him to run a booze up in a brewery.
“There are two issues facing us here; one, as always, is the economy and two, Brexit, which is the biggest political event in our history since World War 2.
“We need a government who can negotiate a free-trade deal with the EU at a sensible price.
Caller 'TERRIFIED' of Diane Abbott as Home Secretary
“Corbyn, I think, will just roll over on his back and let them tickle his tummy – he’s hopeless, just feeble.”
Another concerned caller said he was “terrified” that Diane Abbott could be the home secretary after the June 8 vote.
William, from Belfast, issued a desperate plea to his fellow listeners to stop “pro-IRA” Mr Corbyn and Miss Abbott out of Downing Street.
He said: “I am terrified when I see these opinion polls and Diane Abbott is possibly home secretary and Jeremy Corbyn prime minister.
“Two absolute pro-IRA people… I am at the age when I know the IRA killed 2,000 people.
“All my life I have never heard Jeremy Corbyn negotiate with Loyalist terrorists – it was always the IRA, he never joined the peace process.”
William concluded by declaring the pair a “really dangerous” option for voters to choose when the country goes to the polls.
