'Article 50 meant UK LOST control!' Gina Miller MOCKS Brexiteers handing over power to EU
CHIEF Remain campaigner Gina Miller has mocked the "irony of Brexit" after she claimed that Leavers actually gave up control rather than winning it.
Gina Miller: The UK LOST control by triggering Article 50
Gina Miller told an audience of financial advisers that Brexit voters did not fully see "the irony" of their decision.
Speaking at the Morningstar Investment Conference in London yesterday evening, Mrs Miller said even if Leavers did not understand it, she was "doing what is best for Britain".
She discussed her General Election tactical voting group Best for Britain which seeks to promote MP candidates who oppose a Hard Brexit.
She said even if Leavers did not understand it, she was doing the best for Britain.
Gina Miller: All Brexit options should be on the table
Mrs Miller mocked the campaign slogan of the Leave campaign, which urged Britain to 'take back control' from Brussels.
The former investment firm chief said that leaving the European Union will be a "blight on all our lives".
In a patronising attack on Leave voters, she told the audience: "The funny thing is that I have Brexiteers coming up to me now.
"They are telling me, oh we thought it would be much easier than this.
"There is a reality dawning where people are getting quite nervous and like the idea of what I’m talking about.
"And they want a choice! They want options on the table."

The irony is that by triggering Article 50 we have given up control
She continued: "We are seeing the reports from investment firms, from banks. They are panicking.
"The irony is that by triggering Article 50 we have given up control. In that moment we gave control to the 27 member-states.
"The following day we will not have an agency to satisfy airlines in the world that they can land here safely.
"America has already said that they will stop airplanes landing here if we leave with no deal."

Mrs Miller did distance herself from Tony Blair and other prominent Remain campaigners, saying that they chose the wrong fight.
She said that instead of redoing the referendum, they had to accept that "we are all Leavers now".
But, the businesswoman said that a second referendum on the terms of exit was not the same as a redo.
She said: "We could get an amazing deal - things could turn out fantastically well - but we have to prepare and have a meaningful vote."
