The closure comes as transport hub London Bridge is affected by a 24-hour strike by tube staff.
Organised by union RMT, workers are walking out from 10pm on Sunday, May 7 and last until 9.59pm on Monday.
No tube workers will be on hand at the busy station, which serves the Jubilee and Northern Line.
TfL confirmed Stockwell station re-opened before 8am.
