THERESA MAY appeared to not have much luck on the campaign trail in Scotland as she spent bank holiday Monday door-knocking to no avail.

One woman even urged the Prime Minister to walk on as she said “no, thank you” when Mrs May approached one house in Aberdeenshire.
In the cringeworthy Sky News clip, the Tory leader is heard replying: “No? Okay, we won’t trouble you then.”
During the photo-op, not one person answered their door to speak to the Prime Minister despite her targeting six houses in the SNP stronghold.

Instead, she was left delivering leaflets during the embarrassing gaffe. She said: “Well, you’ve got to get your leaflets delivered somehow!”
The leader of the Scottish Tories Ruth Davidson joined Mrs May on her day out canvassing and joked: “We told you we’d make you work when you came up here Prime Minister.”
Despite the awkward day of canvassing, polls have put the Tories above Labour and in second place behind Nicola Sturgeon’s party.

It comes after the Prime Minister was reportedly rebuked by European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker who said he is "10 times more sceptical" after their recent meeting in Downing Street.
The British Prime Minister was criticised by the Europhile politician who insinuated he is unprepared for the task, according to German Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung newspaper.
Downing Street said it did not recognise the latest report which claimed the meeting could have soured the mood between London and Brussels before negotiations have even begun.
When the Prime Minister told them “let us make Brexit a success", Mr Juncker was said to have replied, "Brexit cannot be a success".
