The Labour MP and a key ally of Jeremy Corbyn appeared on Iain Dale's LBC show to put forward her party's case ahead of the General Election on June 8th.
But, in the final question of the interview, Dale asked whether the shadow foreign secretary had any plans to celebrate St George's Day tomorrow.
The question referred ton infamous tweet in 2014, in which Mrs Thornberry appeared to mock a voter who hung the St George's flag from his window and had a white van parked outside.

At the time, she was condemned for her "snobbish" attitude and for being out-of-touch.
The left-wing MP was later forced to resign from Ed Miliband's shadow cabinet following the criticism.
However, her reaction to today's question raises concerns yet again about Labour's relationship to patriotism.
In the interview, Dale said: "Okay, a naughty question. Paul on Twitter says, can you ask Mrs Thornberry if she will be celebrating St Georges Day tomorrow?"
She then burst out laughing and found it difficult to regain control of herself.

How do you celebrate? I will not be putting any flags out of my window
Mrs Thornberry said she will not be hanging out flags from her window.
Earlier in the interview, she said that Labour's vague position on Brexit was a strength, not a weakness.
Mrs Thornberry said: "The Labour Party is a national party. We want to reflect the national split. We want to bring the country together.
"We can't go on with these two extremes. Enough already."
She had been appearing on Iain Dale's first special Saturday show, in the run-up to the snap election.

At the time of St George's Flag controversy in 2014, Mrs Thornberry apologised "if she had upset or insulted anybody".
The then-Labour leader Ed Miliband said the MP's tweet was "disrespectful" while the resident of the house in question, Dan Ware, said Mrs Thornberry was a "snob".
