NIGEL FARAGE blasted Theresa May’s decision not to take part in televised debates ahead of the General Election saying it will “damager her creditability”.
Farage: May’s absence at debates will damage her credibility
The former Ukip leader insisted the Prime Minister would lose out and the public may feel “diddled” by the decision.
Speaking on his LBC show, the MEP said he thought television channels would air the debate with an empty chair for Mrs May.
He said: “I think the leaders debates are going to happen with or without Theresa May and I think it would damage her creditability not to be a part of it.

I think it would damage her creditability not to be a part of it
“I think to be honest with you the public would feel diddled if the Prime Minister, who had called this election to much of the surprise of everybody, was not prepared to go head to head.
“Especially against Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of her majesty’s opposition, well at least for now anyway.”
Broadcasters said on Wednesday that televised debates between party leaders could go ahead in spite of the Prime Minister's refusal to take part.
ITV confirmed plans for a live clash during the campaign whether Mrs May is involved or not.
BBC bosses said the issue of possible leaders' debates was still under discussion.
Mrs May insisted on Tuesday she would not take part in television debates against her rivals and planned to concentrate on campaigning across the country.
