The Metropolitan Police Commissioner insisted it's not certain they could have stopped the slaughter
She told LBC radio’s Nick Ferrari: “There were several armed officers within the vicinity protecting Parliament.
“We did protect Parliament. It’s an absolute tragedy Keith was killed. I really don’t think we can be certain that an armed officer would necessarily have been able to protect themselves or to intervene earlier.”
Commissioner Dick said tackling terrorism would be among her top priorities and vowed to combat the scourge of gun and knife crime in the capital.
