A TEN-year-old girl has amazed her family and friends by speaking backwards.
Ten-year-old Constance Bailey can speak backwards
Constance said she first discovered her unusual talent by trying to pronounce words backwards in her head while reading books.
And the schoolgirl from Monkseaton, North Tyneside, left her parents stunned last week when she informed them about her rare talent.

Michael and Rachel Bailey immediately began to test their daughter with simple words and to their surprise she said them back in seconds.
And amusement turned to shock as Constance began pronouncing words like “hospital” and “helicopter” backwards with minimal effort.

Mr Bailey, 44, a digital marketing professional, said: “I started to give her more and more difficult words and she fired them all back.
“We are not talking words like ‘dog’ and ‘sun’. Words like ‘chocolate’ are no problem.”
The pupil from Wellfield Middle School in Whitley Bay, said: “I looked at every word and decided to read it backwards. I gradually got better.

“It’s cool I can do something most people can’t.”
Constance can pronounce most words backwards, providing she can spell them, including tricky words such as “amazing”, “dinosaur” and “beautiful”.
Her mother Mrs Bailey, 43, a software designer, added: “I didn’t at first realise how unique it was. It’s the speed that shocks me.”
