'Struggling with the clock change?' Corbyn mocked after appearing 'half-asleep' on Peston
VIEWERS tuning into Jeremy Corbyn's interview on Peston on Sunday roundly mocked the Labour leader's performance as someone "dull, waffling and not fully awake".
Jeremy Corbyn blasted for looking "half asleep" in interview
Jeremy Corbyn appeared on Peston on Sunday this morning to mark his fourth appearance on the programme - the highest in its history.
However, social media was rife with comments on the political leader's bizarre manner on the show, with many telling him to "go back to bed".
The Labour leader was quizzed on the response to the Westminster terror attack on Wednesday as well as Labour's unclear position on Brexit.
But, many struggled to follow the left-wing MP, with Peston interrupting at one stage to say he "doesn't quite follow his argument".
The Labour leader has continued to struggle with the electorate
Others commented on the very audible sighs from the disgruntled Labour leader
The Labour leader has struggled to connect with the electorate, with the Conservative Party recently extending their massive lead against the left-wing party to 17 points.
But, instead of lively fight back, Mr Cobryn's demeanour on the Sunday politics show drew derision from viewers.
One person immediately asked: "Why is Jeremy Corbyn talking so slowly? With the missing hour, is he fully awake yet?"
Another added that "Corbyn more half asleep than usual. Dull. Disinterested" while one viewer simply said: "Wake up, Jeremy!"
Many agreed that Corbyn "waffled" on his responses to Scottish independence and Brexit talks.
The left-wing leader said another Scottish referendum was an "extremely bad idea" during Brexit negotiations but it remained unclear whether he would let it go ahead in the future.

Wake up, Jeremy!
One user tweeted "Corbyn waffles on for 10 minutes. I'm so lost and I have a degree in politics".
Others commented on the very audible sighs from the disgruntled Labour leader.
Some pointed to Peston "struggling to make sense" of Mr Corbyn's vague answers.
Later in the programme, the embattled leader said the Government's Prevent strategy - which tries to stop radicalisation producing homegrown Islamist terrorists - should be expanded to target far-right extremism and racist idealogies.
He called on counter-terror operations to look beyond just Muslim neighbourhoods, in an "agenda of inclusion".

Mr Corbyn also confirmed his party was ready for an election and would not block Theresa May calling for one.
He said that Labour would fight for "total accountability" in Brexit negotiations and would not let the Government override Parliament.
However, viewers remained unimpressed, with many calling for the morning show's staff to "fetch Corbyn a coffee".
Another said: "Corbyn is very lacklustre, almost as if he's about to drift into a heavy sleep."
One even joked: "I have more energy on a Sunday morning after 50 lengths in the pool and a 5k run than Corbyn."
