CHEMICAL ALERT: Bristol city centre on LOCKDOWN after incident at hotel swimming pool
A CITY centre was placed on lockdown after a "chemical incident" at a hotel swimming pool.
Bristol was placed on lockdown
Emergency services rushed to Broad Street in Bristol after the alert.
Corn Street, Broad Street and Small Street were cordoned off for 45 minutes while officials investigated the incident at the Grand Hotel.
A fire spokesman said the scare was sparked by a chlorine alarm in the hotel's swimming pool.

Eye-witness Jeff Gandall posted a picture of the chaotic scene and tweeted: “Broad St, Bristol closed due to a chemical incident.
“At least 8 fire engines present, 6 ambulances and numerous police cars.”
There are currently no reports of injuries.
