A jury heard how Rolf Harris allegedly molested a schoolgirl
The outraged man confronted the entertainer after his 14-year-old daughter told him she had been groped, the jury heard.
Harris allegedly pulled her on to his lap and put his hand up her skirt.
The girl had asked for an autograph at a London theatre and was left weeping after the alleged attack, Southwark Crown Court was told.
A middle-aged woman told the court how her father allegedly gave Mr Harris a mouthful
Now a middle-aged woman, she told the jury: “When it happened, I ran to my mum and dad. I ran to my parents and my father went and gave him a mouthful.”
She denied making the allegation in a bid to get compensation from the multi-millionaire veteran entertainer.
A witness to the alleged attack told the jury he recalled seeing her weeping.
“She was with her parents in a state of disgust,” the man said.
A witness of the alleged attack said, they saw the woman crying
“She was crying.”
You don’t want to sit on someone’s knee you had never met before. He was a gentleman and we were young girls
Commenting on the girl’s father, the witness said: “He looked rather angry, well red-faced, he was angry and I know the reason for that now.”
The man said he did not remember seeing Harris pull the girl on to his lap.
A female friend recalled how Harris signed autographs in a busy room at the theatre.
“I remember her being taken by the waist and sat on his knee,” the woman said.
Rolf Harris was jailed in 2014 for indecent assault
“I have that snapshot in my memory and I know I felt it wasn’t right.”
She was asked how far away she was from the incident and said she couldn’t remember.
“I was probably quite close but I can’t recollect exactly.”
Asked what she found odd about it she said: “We had never met him before. You don’t want to sit on someone’s knee you had never met before. He was a gentleman and we were young girls.”
Harris, 86, was jailed in 2014 for indecently assaulting four girls aged from eight to 19 between 1969 and 1986, the jury was told.
Mr Harris denies the charges and the trial continues
He denies indecently assaulting a further seven female victims aged from 12 to 42 between 1971 and 2004.
The alleged victims include a disabled blind woman and a 13-year-old schoolgirl, who claims he stroked her breast in front of stars at the BBC.
Australian-born Harris, formerly of Bray, Berkshire, is appearing via videolink from HMP Stafford.
The trial continues.
