BLACK FRIDAY HORROR: Policeman STABBED in Leeds HMV confronting shoplifter
A POLICE officer has been stabbed in a Leeds HMV after he confronted a suspected shoplifter during the Black Friday sales.

The off-duty officer was attacked at the store in Victoria Walk in Leeds city centre this morning.
He was slashed across the neck, face and hand just after 9am.
The officer's injuries are thought to be non-life threatening and he is being treated at a local hospital.

The suspect, a 36-year-old man from Leeds, was detained by store staff and has been arrested in connection with the incident
The alleged thief became angry and reportedly stabbed the officer when he was asked what he was doing.
The attack took place just after the store opened for Black Friday sales, which are taking place across the country today.
A West Yorkshire police spokesman said: “The suspect, a 36-year-old man from Leeds, was detained by store staff and has been arrested in connection with the incident.
“The store is currently closed while the scene undergoes forensic examination.”
The shocking incident comes just before the band Busted were to sign copies of their new album at the music and games store.
Around 450 fans were due to attend the event at 5.30pm this evening. It is unknown whether the signing will be cancelled.
