Schoolgirls injured after 'serious' car collision in Dartmouth
TWO young schoolgirls have been injured in a “serious” collision with a car.
Two schoolgirls suffered injuries after being hit by a Ford Fiesta
The pair - believed to both be 12-year-old - are thought to have been crossing the A3122 in Dartmouth, Devon, when they were reportedly hit by a Ford Fiesta.
The incident took place at 3.30pm today and the Devon Air Ambulance was sent to the scene.
Paramedics said one of the girls suffered a head injury and the other a suspected leg fracture.

No further updates about the girl's condition or identity have so far been released.
Both girls are being assessed by ambulance
Kingsbridge Police posted a message on Facebook which said: "Emergency services are currently on scene at an RTC in Dartmouth by the petrol station where two schoolgirls have been hit by a car.

Devon and Cornwall Police added: "Police, ambulance and the air ambulance were called to Townstal Road, Dartmouth, at 3.30pm following reports of a collision between a Ford Fiesta and two young female pedestrians.
"Both girls are being assessed by ambulance."
