Family photos, love letters, heirlooms and childhood toys are among the nation’s top 10 most beloved belongings, according to research from insurance experts Neos.
Among the stranger items householders listed among their most treasured were babies’ teeth, school report cards, pet’s ashes, slices of wedding cake, tickets from first dates and grandma’s recipes.

Even though almost one in four Britons said they have lost an irreplaceable item to burglary, water damage or fire in the home, fewer than half take preventative steps to protect their most treasured belongings.
