British teen charged with possessing 'explosive substance' after Tube closure
A TEENAGER has been charged with “possessing an explosive substance with intent to endanger life” after a Tube station was closed by police.

Damon Smith, 19, will appear in court tomorrow after being charged by the Met Police.
The south-east Londoner was arrested in connection with the discovery of a suspicious item on a Tube train at North Greenwich station.
Mr Smith, 19, was Tasered and arrested near a London Metropolitan University campus in north London last Friday.
He is believed to be an IT student at the university and had moved to London from Devon in August.
Mr Smith is charged with unlawfully and maliciously making or possessing an explosive substance with an intent to endanger life or cause serious injury to property, the Met said.
He is alleged to have made or acquired the substance between October 18 and October 21 contrary to section 3(1)(b) Explosive Substances Act 1883.
A controlled explosion was carried out and North Greenwich station evacuated when a device was discovered on an eastbound Jubilee Line train on 20 October.
The device was reportedly handed to the train's driver.
North Greenwich is a busy station that serves the capital's O2 music venue.
