ROBOT INVASION: UK is NOT prepared for the rise of AI machines, MPs warn
BRTAIN is not prepared for a robot TAKEOVER which will “fundamentally” change our lives forever, MPs have warned.
Robots will take over the world, MPs have warned
The rise of the machine will see people out of jobs as Artificial Intelligence (AI), such as driverless cars and supercomputers that help diagnoses, become the norm.
But MPs have warned the Government’s preparation for “fundamental” change is “lacking”.
Tania Mathias, Tory acting chairwoman from the Science Technology Committee, said: “Science fiction is slowly becoming science fact, and robotics and AI look destined to play an increasing role in our lives over the coming decades.

“Concerns about machines taking jobs and eliminating the need for human labor have persisted for centuries. Nevertheless, it is conceivable that we will see AI technology creating new jobs over the coming decades while at the same time displacing others.
“Since we cannot yet foresee exactly how these changes will play out, we must respond with a readiness to reskill and upskill.
“This requires a commitment by the government to ensure that our education and training systems are flexible, so that they can adapt as opportunities and demands on the workforce change.”
The extraordinary claims come after a shocking report by Deloitte predicted more than a quarter of jobs in Britain’s business sector will be wiped out by robots in the next 20 years because of rising wages and failing technology costs.

Meanwhile, Zoltan Istvan, a former candidate in the US presidential elections, said Western countries will begin to phase out humans for war and replace them with robots.
