Young British mum arrested on holiday after 'abandoning seven-year-old to go partying'
A BRITISH mother who allegedly left her seven-year-old son in a Spanish hotel room to go partying has been arrested by police.
The incident reportedly happened at the Hotel Canarios Park
Spanish authorities arrested the 25-year-old mother as she returned to the hotel at breakfast time.
Hotel staff rang police after finding the young boy crying and he claimed he had been abandoned by his mother, known only as Eleanor.
The youngster also reportedly told authorities it was not the first time he had been left alone.
The mother walked free from court and was slapped a suspended sentence.
The child has since been placed in social services.
