Brute jailed for ten years for raping 12-year-old girl
A PAKISTANI man who moved to the UK to wed a British-born woman in an arranged marriage has been jailed for 10 years for raping a 12-year-old girl.
Kamran Ahmed had been in the country less than six months when he violated the schoolgirl
Kamran Ahmed, 27, had been in the country less than six months when he violated the schoolgirl after trying to groom her for sex.
Confessing the assault to his devastated new bride Ahmed claimed “the devil had got him”.
But he denied the offence to police until pleading guilty on the day of his trial.
Ahmed admitted stripping the youngster of her clothing
He admitted stripping the petrified youngster of her clothing before chillingly warning her: “I have to do this.”
He had previously told her she was pretty, touched her indecently and tried to kiss her, prosecutor Tom Storey told Bradford Crown Court.
Ahmed tried to warn the girl that no one would believe her because “she was a child and he was an adult”.
His victim’s schoolwork badly deteriorated in the aftermath of the attack in April 2013 but it was two years before she confided in a teacher that she had been “assaulted in a dirty way”.
Defence barrister Mohammed Ramzan, said his client, from Bradford, was “extremely ashamed”.
Ahmed told the girl nobody would believe her about the attack
Judge Roger Thomas said Ahmed would be deported back to Pakistan once his sentence is served.
He told the brute: “It is impossible to think that the effects of your crime on her will somehow dissipate in any substantial way. One fears that her future years will be very badly affected by what you did to her.”
