MANCHESTER Airport's Terminal 2 has been evacuated after a suspicious bag was found.
There was a bomb scare at Manchester Airport after a suspicious package was found
Passengers were evacuated from the terminal and the area around the bag was sealed off just before 7pm.
The bag had twice tested positive for a "device”, according to unconfirmed reports.
Holidayers said they were told to leave the area and "stay away from glass" following the security scare.
Aqib Ishtiaq said: "Everyone told to leave the baggage reclamation area immediately and exit the airport."
Owen J Holt tweeted: "A whole horde of people from a flight were rushing down the tunnel when we got turned away."

Police and fire fighters were called to the airport but it has been determined the item posed no threat.
Manchester Airport's official Twitter account posted updates throughout the incident.
It said: "Upon finding an unattended bag, an area outside terminal two was cordoned off as a precautionary measure.
Following a thorough investigation, the bag has been cleared as a posing no threat and the process of reopening the terminal is underway

Superintendent Mark Kenny said: "Due to the circumstances this evening, it was appropriate to evacuate the terminal to ensure the safety of staff and the public.
"We contained the situation and dealt with the suspicious bag as quickly as possible so there was minimal disruption to the airport and the public.

The scare came just hours after Olympic cycling heroes Jason Kenny, Ed Clancy, Steven Burke and Joanna Rowsell landed at the airport.
No arrival or departure times appear to have been affected by the two-hour incident at airport.
