HATE preacher Anjem Choudary could radicalise swathes of prisoners inside jail after the extremist was convicted of supporting the Islamic State, it has been warned.

The radical Muslim cleric is facing up to ten years behind bars after being found guilty of backing the warped terror group.
But experts have warned he could radicalise and brainwash vulnerable inmates in the notorious Belmarsh maximum security prison in London.
The jail has been branded a “jihadi training camp” by terrorism experts.

Security expert professor Anthony Glees, from Buckingham University, said: “He’s an extremely dangerous man.
“Virtually everybody who has gone off to fight for ISIS, as a killer for them - he is associated with between 300-600 of them, we believe.
“They are out there as a direct result of his brainwashing.”

He told the Mirror: “He’s far more dangerous here in our free United Kingdom than he would be with Daesh.”
But deranged Choudary, 49, can only be held in solitary confinement with the direct permission of the Justice secretary due to human rights laws.

The father-of-five’s conviction has raised questions about British anti-terror laws.
Top legal expert David Anderson said: “These are useful offences, they are being increasingly used, but I think one would have to admit that until now the law has barely touched Anjem Choudary.
The report called for special units in high security jails to detain those inmates spreading extremism.
