WATCH: Enraged cyclist squirts WATER in face of van driver in furious road row
THIS is the moment an enraged cyclist squirted WATER into the face of a van driver in a furious battle on the road.
Biker sprays water in driver's face in road rage incident
Nick Surty was driving his 32-tonne lorry on the A237 near Mitcham Junction, London, during morning rush-hour yesterday when the scenes unfolded.
The footage appears to show the cyclist admonishing the driver over an alleged earlier off-camera incident, only for the duo to continue arguing as they begin to move.
Eventually the cyclist pulls out a water bottle and sprays it in the van driver's face - who retaliates by swerving into the biker, forcing him into oncoming traffic that he narrowly misses.
The cyclist was caught on a dashcam having a row with the van driver
Mr Surty, 27, said: "Naturally, being a full-time lorry driver you see a lot of funny and crazy stuff on the roads.
"I initially laughed at the water being squirted at the van driver but I was quite shocked when the van drove at him.
"It was probably a reaction caused by the heat of the moment.
"The biker maybe said some nasty stuff to him and vice versa but I think the water in his face probably tipped him over the edge."
The van can be seen swerving into the cyclist
In what Mr Surty believes to be retaliation for an earlier off-camera incident, the cyclist pedals up alongside the van driver while they are stationary in a queue and argues with him while pointing in his face.

He could be heard blasting the driver saying "you literally missed me by an inch" - the van driver then retaliated and, as the traffic moved, he drove off.
Enraged, the cyclist can then be seen furiously pedalling after him, taking out his water bottle and appears to spray the contents in the driver's face.
Livid after being doused in water, the van driver then swerved towards the biker and straddled the opposite side of the road causing the cyclist to lurch into the path of an oncoming car.
Mr Surty said: "The bloke nearly came off his bike but after he got his bearings I pulled over and asked him if he was alright.
"It was definitely an eventful morning."
Mr Surty did not report the incident to the police but offered the cyclist the opportunity to use the footage if he wanted to report the incident.
However Mr Surty claims the cyclist eventually declined the offer.
