Shocking CCTV footage shows a gang of thugs beating a man and stamping on his head
The gang of thugs CONGRATULATE each other after the potentially fatal attack.
Brutal CCTV footage shows two men brawling before one of them pins the 23-year-old man on the floor before another yob sprints in and boots the victim in the head seven times.
A third man then joins in and repeatedly punches the victim as he lies unconscious on in the middle of Cranbrook Street, near Nottingham city centre.
One of the men repeatedly stamps on the victim's head, a man who we believe is a stranger to him
Footage from another camera shows the gang congratulating each other and even one slapping another on the back before they run off.
Police yesterday released CCTV footage of the sickening attack in a bid to track down the attackers.
Det Con Chris Underwood, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "The intention of releasing this footage is to show the very violent nature of this unprovoked assault in hopes of appealing to someone's conscious.
The man was attacked and left unconscious in the road
"As you can see, one of the men repeatedly stamps on the victim's head, a man who we believe is a stranger to him.
"With such ferocious blows aimed at his head, this could easily have been a murder inquiry."
The attackers kicked and stamped on the man's head before leaving him unconcious
The men are seen congratulating each other before fleeing
The victim was taken to hospital with a serious head injury and has now made a full recovery.
