One of only a handful of its type, the premium Chateauneuf-du-Pape is usually only found on the shelves of specialist wine merchants.
It has been created using every single one of the grape varieties allowed in the prestigious French wine region.
Bottles normally cost up to £60
Bottles normally cost up to £60, but it will be sold online by Aldi for just £16.99 as part of the supermarket's premium French wine range.
We hope our customers enjoy drinking it
Winemakers in Chateauneuf-du-Pape rarely use more than five grape types in a wine.
The supermarket says the blend of the grapes, which has been approved by the region's notoriously strict authorities, has created "a complex, multi-dimensional wine with a rich colour, aroma and balance."
Tony Baines said: "At Aldi, we're committed to opening up the world of wonderful wine to everyone, and allowing our customers to enjoy rare and exciting styles without having to spend a fortune.

"We hope our customers enjoy drinking it as much as we did bringing it to our exciting new online wine offering."
Patrick Schmitt of trade magazine The Drinks Business said: "Although Chateauneuf-du-Pape is one of the UK's most widely distributed regional wine brands, finding an example that makes use of its 13 traditional grape varieties is rare."
