A FATHER has been left with horrific burns so bad he needs a skin graft after an e-cigarette exploded in his pocket.

Wullie Scott, 34, has become the second dad in a week to reveal the excruciating injuries after trying to beat out the flames.
His third-degree burns as far down as his shin and wrist were so horrific Mr Scott's nerve endings were also damaged.
The incident happened during a family dinner on Boxing Day.
Mr Scott, from Fife, said: “The battery just ignited. My leg went up like a flare.

“It all happened that fast. I had jeans on and before I could do anything they melted to my leg.
“I didn’t have time to react. I was trying to peel the battery off my leg. So many things were running through my mind.
The shocking incident took place during a family dinner on Boxing Day

“I physically couldn’t pull my jeans off. My young brother Brian had to help me. We put wet dish towels on the wound.
He said: “I’m still in pain now. It’s like a niggle.
“It burned all my nerve endings so the plastic surgeon says my nerves are trying to mend themselves. That’s why my leg feels so sensitive.
“I’ve spoken to a solicitor about this already and I’m planning to take legal action.”
The father was left in agony after the incident
The battery was made by Chinese e-cigarette company E-Fest Power.
The firm's website warns customers not to put batteries in their pockets with metal objects.

One customer emailed the company after the battery caught fire in his pocket, including pictures of the battery and a meted keychain that was in his trouser pocket.

Mr Scott's ordeal comes after another e-cigarette user was left scarred for life after the device in his trouser pocket exploded "like a firework".
