The SNP leader landed first spot after her “party’s extraordinary performance in the recent Westminster election”, despite not being a candidate.
Judges said Ms Sturgeon now wielded huge influence over the future of Britain and in EU negotiations.
Broadcaster Emma Barnett, the judging panel chair, said: “She is the woman of the moment in terms of influence and hard power.”
