What's wrong with your EYE? BBC Breakfast's Carol Kirkwood thanks fans for ongoing support
BBC BREAKFAST weather presenter Carol Kirkwood has thanked fans for their continued support after hundreds flocked to Twitter to express their concern over the forecaster's "bloodshot" and "swollen" eye.

Popular Met Office forecaster Carol Kirkwood revealed she had suffered a BURST blood vessel – which doctors told her could take a MONTH to heal.
But the 52-year-old BBC presenter reassured concerned fans about her ongoing health concerns this morning, tweeting: "Thank you for asking about my eye.
"It is so much better thank you.
"Can actually see more white than red now!xxx" (sic)
The update came after viewers continued to question the popular Scottish presenter about her "bloodshot" eye after she presented the weather on BBC Breakfast this morning.

Cindi Paines echoed hundreds of other tweets, telling the presenter her update was "excellent news".
One fan tweeted: "Hi Carol, how's the eye? Still doesn't look 100% but I hope it's getting better."
Another commented on how "painful" the presenter's eye appeared on camera saying: "That eye looks painful, my lovely … hope its better soon."
Meanwhile, Stephen Fletcher told the 52-year-old BBC presenter: "Bless you Carol, your eye looks really sore."

One proactive fan even recommended a specific type of eye drop, writing: "I recommend Hypromellose Eye drops for red eye. No additives. Good Luck."
Another, Mark Simpson, reassured the Met Office forecaster that he had suffered with the same issue.
He tweeted: "Happened to me last year. Cleared up fine eventually. :-)"But if you get any pain or discomfort, get it checked again."

The Scotswoman has shown her appreciation over the support offered on social media, tweeting updates since viewers first commented on her "bloody" pupil, some two weeks ago.
On November 12th, she wrote: "Really touched that you are asking about my eye. "It doesn't hurt, but I am going to have it checked out properly now."
