Woman inundated with offers after brother posts Facebook ad asking if men want to DATE her
A WOMAN has received dozens of messages after her brother posted an advert on Facebook and Gumtree asking if men wanted to date his sister.
Natalie Whatley, 33, has been sifting through offers from potential suitors after the stunt by her 26-year-old sibling Adam Clarke.
He posted a video on Facebook and adverts on websites Gumtree and Free Ads without her knowledge after deciding his sister was spending too much time at work.
Mr Clarke said the clip has been watched more than 8,000 times and around 70 budding Romeos have asked Miss Whatley out on a date since.
Ms Whatley, from Cardiff, said her brother began recording the video offering her up for dates when they were running errands together one day.
My laptop has not stopped beeping
She said: "When I got back in the car Adam was recording a video on his phone I told him to delete it and thought he did.
"It was not until we got home when he told me he shared it on his Facebook.
"My laptop has not stopped beeping since."
She said she has whittled down her potential suitors to between five and eight men and may even be going on a date this week.
Ms Whatley and her brother have recently been working together running media company Suave Productions, based in Cardiff.
But after Mr Clarke found himself a girlfriend he felt it would be nice if his sister had "some balance" and got "her head out of her laptop".
Ms Whatley said that when she first found out about the video she was shocked and "kicked off" but then saw the funny side and was "thankful".
The advert was posted on Facebook last Thursday October 9.
Asked what she looks for in a man, she said: "I'll admit it's a little shallow but... looks.
"I'll look at their profile and through their time.
"A line to see if they stand out, to see if they can have a laugh like me."
