Karen Danczuk is blasted on Loose Women for posting sexy selfies by 'hypocritical' Jamelia
THE WIFE of a Labour MP became embroiled in a Twitter spat with pop star Jamelia today after appearing on Loose Women.
The trouble started when Councillor Karen Danczuk was attacked for posting revealing selfies online by Janet Street Porter.
Defending herself, Karen said: "I didn't really see the big deal, they're just selfies, millions of people do it every day.
"I do a very stressful job so have a very long week, I get dressed up on a Friday night, take a selfie. Why not?"
However, Ms Street Porter told her that she had a duty as a role model towards the young people of Rochdale.
Responding to Mrs Danczuk, she said: "'Can I say why not? Because you're a councillor from Rochdale and Rochdale has reached the headlines in a very unfortunate way in the last few years.
"Firstly for the allegations of sex abuse… and secondly because in 2012, nine men went to prison for having sex with girls who were groomed.
"The young women of Rochdale look to you as a Labour councillor to be a role model whether you want it or not."

Mrs Danczuk, 31, replied "I don't think you can blame the whole sex grooming scandal on me."
Singer Jamelia then joined in the debate, challenging Mrs Danczuk on what changes she was implementing in her constituency.
Mrs Danczuk responded: "What changes are you making as a pop star wearing short dresses? You've worn the short skirts in pop videos. It's a selfie, that's what they're about."
She later moved the argument on to Twitter, posting a picture of Jamelia posing provocatively with the caption 'Really??'.
Jamelia also tweeted about the issue, telling her followers: 'If she wants that freedom...she's not a celeb...she's a councillor...'

I'm not a politician...rules are different...simple as that. If she wants that freedom...she's not a celeb...she's a councillor...
