Flight from UK to Turkey makes 'emergency landing' in Munich
A PASSENGER plane that departed from the UK is believed to have made an emergency landing in Germany, according to reports.
Thomson Airways flight TOM698, which departed from Leeds on its way to Dalaman, Turkey is thought to have been diverted to Munich.
According to the AirLive Twitter account, which tracks live updates from flights, fire engines were waiting at the airport for when the passenger plane touched down.
The jet was also reported to be circling over Germany, in order to reduce altitude, before it landed at Munich Airport.

Thomson Airways confirmed flight TOM698 had to make an unscheduled stop in Munich because of a "medical emergency" on board.
In a statement the airline said: "Thomson Airways can confirm that flight TOM698 travelling from Leeds Bradford to Dalaman, Turkey has diverted into Munich airport due to a medical emergency on board.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers and will be continuing with the flight as soon as possible."
