Fairy loses washing up liquid crown to Aldi
FAIRY has advertised itself as the washing-up liquid that lasts twice as long as rival products for more than 60 years.
But the household favourite has now lost its crown to a supermarket own brand.
Aldi’s Magnum Premium Original has scrubbed up as top of the washing-up liquid charts in a Which? consumer test.

The 79p soap was found to wash nearly three times as many dishes as £1.70 Fairy Platinum – 14,873 plates per £1 compared to 5,069.
It also outperformed all other own-label products – including Asda, Lidl, Sainsbury’s and Tesco.
Aldi spokesman Tony Baines said: “Washing-up may not be everyone’s favourite thing to do.
“But our new washing-up liquid shows you don’t have to spend a fortune to make this mundane household chore a little bit easier.”
