Miracle as 'skewered' car crash leaves Clio kebab but teen drivers unharmed
A HORRIFIC 70mph smash saw a car flip over twice before being skewered like a kebab on a fence post.
But miraculously the two teenagers inside walked away with cuts and bruises.
Shocked witnesses heard the crash before finding the Renault Clio balancing 6ft in the air with the post impaled through its roof. The teenagers were dangling from the front seats.
I heard a screech and the car double-somersaulted through the air and landed on the fence post
Milkman Clifford Beeton, 55, witnessed the crash as he did his morning round in Stoke-on-Trent.
He said: “The car zoomed past at around 70mph. Next thing I heard a screech and the car double-somersaulted through the air and landed on the fence post.”
Police were called to the scene at 5.10am on Bank Holiday Monday. The 18-year-old driver was arrested.
