World Cup winning English football legend Nobby Stiles diagnosed with cancer
ENGLAND World Cup winning football legend Nobby Stiles has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, it emerged today.
The 71-year-old, who famously danced a jig with his false teeth in one hand after glory at Wembley in 1966m was diagnosed following a routine visit to his GP.
His son John confirmed the illness, saying that the condition was diagnosed early and his family are expecting him to make a full recovery.
The defensive midfielder, who has claimed European glory with Manchester United, received get well wishes from across the world of football.

Speaking to The Sunday Mirror, former England star Mike Summerbee said: "This is very sad news but the fact that they have managed to diagnose it early is really encouraging."
Mr Summerbee, who played with the England national side between 1968 and 1972, recently overcame the same illness.
While John Hartson, who fought testicular and brain cancer four years ago, added: "I have no doubt Nobby Stiles can beat this.
"You need a good network of family and friends who I am sure will all rally around him."
Mr Stiles, who was awarded with an MBE in 2000, spent five years playing for the England national team and 11 years at Old Trafford.
He was renowned for his tough tackling style and is one of only three Englishmen to win the World Cup and the European Cup, now known as the Champions League.
The football legend's son told The Sunday Mirror: "Thankfully it was diagnosed early and the outlook is extremely positive.
"We expect him to make a full recovery and are supporting him through it."
