Alan Titchmarsh's garden tribute to cancer girl Alice Pyne
THE grieving family of cancer victim Alice Pyne have had their garden transformed in her memory by Daily Express columnist Alan Titchmarsh.
The 17-year-old’s wish list of things to do before she died touched the hearts of the nation. Now, eight months on, Alan has created a garden at the family home in Ulverston, Cumbria, using Alice’s favourite colours.
The transformation was captured for ITV’s Love Your Garden makeover show and the heart-warming episode will be broadcast on Tuesday.
Since Alice’s death her parents Vicky and Simon and 14-year-old sister Milly have continued to work for cancer charities, meaning their garden had become neglected.
Series editor Philip Smith said: “The Pynes are an inspirational family.”
