Mosque explosion
A CONTROLLED explosion was carried out yesterday on the remains of a nail bomb that detonated near a mosque on Friday.
The bomb part was found in a garden close to the scene of the blast on a disused rail line in Tipton, West Midlands.
Police are treating it as a terrorist incident.
The bomb exploded at 1pm, when 200 people would have been in the mosque but because of the fasting month of Ramadan, prayers were delayed by an hour.
