8,000 streets in the UK have homes costing £1Million or more
BRITAIN has 77,894 more property millionaires than a year ago, with 8,230 streets now boasting a home worth at least £1million.
Rising house prices, particularly at the prime end of the market, have created 323,684 properties worth more than £1million, up 32 per cent from 245,790 a year ago.
All of the top 20 of the country's 2,789 millionaire streets are in London.
In No 1 position is Kensington Palace Gardens, dubbed Billionaires Row, where the average property is valued at £36,066,148.
That is more than 156 times the £230,924 value of the average UK home, according to property website Zoopla.co.uk.
The Boltons in SW10 takes second place with a typical price of £23,375,758, followed by Grosvenor Crescent, SW1, at £19,768,963.
Kensington, W8, is the most expensive neighbourhood in Britain with an average property value of £2,326,439.
The area is home to celebrities such as Dustin Hoffman and David and Victoria Beckham.
In the past year alone a typical Kensington property has risen in value by £100,871.
Lawrence Hall of Zoopla.co.uk said: "Even lottery winners can only fantasise about owning a home on these streets. Property values in these super-prime areas are astronomically high and have risen substantially over the past year."
