Now little love is lost on thy neighbours
MOST people rarely or never socialise in their area, with only a minority saying they feel part of their local community.
A poll of 2,000 people has suggested “little genuine bonding” between neighbours, with 64 per cent saying that socialising is rare or non-xistent.
Only 42 per cent said they felt part of their neighbourhood even though more than half felt their local communities were receptive to newcomers.
But where people saw physical violence in their neighbourhood, two-thirds said they had either intervened or witnessed someone else do so.

The findings were released before Sunday’s Holocaust Memorial Day.
Holocaust Memorial Day Trust Chief Executive Olivia Marks-Woldman said: “Whole communities were destroyed during the Holocaust and subsequent enocides, which is why we are asking people to honour this memorial day by building bridges within their communities.”
