Red faces like George Clooney's are ruddy gorgeous
RED faces such as those of actor George Clooney and tycoon Sir Richard Branson are more attractive to women than paler complexions.
Females see a flushed face as a sign of a dominant alpha male who they would be more likely to want to have
children with, a new study claims.
But too much facial redness – often caused by anger – makes men appear aggressive which reduces their appeal.
An experiment at the University of St Andrews, Scotland, saw women asked to rate men’s attractiveness from a series of pictures.
The research appears in the journal Evolution and Human Behaviour.
