Thanks Camilla for your £400
AN artist whose flat burnt down in the Tottenham riots thanked the Duchess of Cornwall yesterday for spending £400 from her own pocket to help revive her career.
Camilla was returning to the London district with Prince Charles six months after their visit in the immediate aftermath of the riots.
She had sent 30-year-old Vina Andersson financial help on learning she lost everything in the blaze last August.
Vina, now studying at London Metropolitan University, said: “She gave me a morale boost. She’s lovely and down to Earth.”
Crowds flocked to see the couple when they arrived unannounced at a new post office run by Vipin and Daksha Rao, who lost £500,000 when their old premises were razed.
